We absolutely love Chicken Teriyaki and have always wanted to experiment with this Japanese classic using a freshly made sauce. Well we did just that and we’re proud to report, the results were divine!
Using all fresh ingredients the aroma of the freshly grated ginger, sesame seed oil and orange juice mixing filled our kitchen with pure joy.
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons sesame seed oil
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and marinate your chicken for at least 20 minutes – longer is better if you have the time.
Fry on a great cast iron pan until chicken is fully cooked approximately 15 minutes depending on the level of heat.
Add broccoli, mushrooms, green onion at the end and cook quickly so the veggies are al dente. Serve over rice and enjoy!
